WELCOME TO DOCUMENT RECORDS
At Document Records, we preserve and celebrate the voices that shaped America — from the earliest recordings of Afro-American spirituals and blues, to raw Old Time string bands, early gospel sermons, hollers, field recordings, jug bands, and more.
Since 1986 — and under the direction of Gary and Gillian Atkinson since 2000 — we have curated the world’s largest archive of vintage blues, gospel, jazz, and pre-country music. With over 25,000 tracks available as CDs and downloads, we offer a rich and unfiltered journey into early American sound.
If it’s vintage — it’s on Document.
We believe in preservation before profit, a mission recognised by the Blues Foundation’s Keeping the Blues Alive award.
