DOCUMENT RECORDS LTD. - DIRECT LICENSING POLICY

1. Introduction
Document Records Ltd. ("Document Records", "we", "our") is a UK-based record company and rights holder controlling a catalogue of historical and contemporary sound recordings, including those released under its associated imprints.

2. Scope of Rights and PPCA Relationship
Document Records Ltd. has entered into a non-exclusive arrangement with the Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA), authorising PPCA to license certain uses of its sound recordings and to collect licence revenue on its behalf within Australia.

This authorisation is non-exclusive. Document Records Ltd. retains full ownership and control of its repertoire and associated rights at all times.


3. Direct Licensing Position
Document Records Ltd. actively retains the right to license its sound recordings directly to third parties, including but not limited to:

Broadcast and transmission uses
Public performance uses
Digital and online uses
Synchronisation and audiovisual uses
Commercial and bespoke licensing arrangements

We may choose, at our sole discretion, to license recordings either:


Directly to users; or
Via collective management organisations such as PPCA

This policy applies globally and is not limited to Australia.


4. International Collection Strategy
Document Records Ltd. operates a selective and territory-specific rights management approach.

We reserve the right to:

Collect neighbouring and related rights income directly in key territories, including (but not limited to) Australia, the United States (e.g. SoundExchange), Canada, and Germany
Appoint or limit collection agents (including collective management organisations) on a territory-by-territory basis
Amend such appointments at any time

Any existing or future collection arrangements (including those with organisations such as PPL) may be limited, expanded, or withdrawn at our discretion.


5. Imprints and Catalogue Representation
This Direct Licensing Policy applies to all sound recordings owned or controlled by Document Records Ltd., including those released under its various imprints and associated catalogue labels.

7. Amendments
